Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QuizScan ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QuizScan provides an AI-assisted screen analysis tool that helps users review and understand on-screen text and questions. The Service is intended as a study aid and supplementary learning tool only.

3. Accounts

You may use core features as a guest without an account. Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are issued at our discretion within 7 days of a charge if the Service was materially unavailable.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or regulation.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, scan quotas, or authentication.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service's API.
• Submit content through the Service that infringes third-party intellectual property.
• Use the Service to facilitate academic dishonesty in violation of your institution's policies.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and code comprising the Service are owned by or licensed to QuizScan. You retain ownership of content you submit; by submitting you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of AI-generated responses. AI output may be incorrect — always verify information independently.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuizScan and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
