What is QuizScan?

QuizScan is an AI-powered study assistant that analyzes your screen in real time and surfaces context-aware answers, explanations, and hints — so you can understand course material faster without just copying answers.

How it works

When you start a session, QuizScan captures a screenshot of your active window and sends it to our AI backend. The model reads the question, analyzes any diagrams or text in the image, and returns a detailed response — all in under a few seconds.

• Click Start on the dashboard to begin a session.
• QuizScan auto-scans at regular intervals (15–30 seconds depending on your plan).
• You can also trigger an instant scan any time with the Scan now button.
• Responses are streamed live so you see the answer as it's generated.

Plans

QuizScan is free to try as a guest — no account needed. Guest users get 5 scans per session. Free accounts get 30 scans, and Pro subscribers get unlimited scans with the fastest scan interval. See our Pricing page for details.

Technology

The frontend is built with Next.js and React. Screen capture uses the browser's built-in getDisplayMedia API — we never request access to your camera or microphone. Screenshots are processed by a large multimodal language model hosted on AWS via a serverless Lambda backend. Results are delivered over a secure WebSocket connection.

We do not store screenshots. Image data is only used to generate the current response and is discarded immediately after.

Privacy & Data

We collect only the minimum data needed to run the service: your email, subscription status, and anonymous usage counts. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
